Here it is...the guest bathroom.
All the walls in our home are white. Every home I have ever lived in had white walls.
I've never really experimented with interior paint (or paint in general) just because the task seemed too daunting.
What color do I choose?
What if I don't like it?
What if it doesn't go with the rest of our interior?
ETC.
So, naturally I always settled for a safe choice...white.
Lately, I have been obsessed with pinterest and have gathered many inspirational designs.
Since our downstairs guest bathroom is small in size, I thought it would be a great place to start playing around with creative ideas.
So here it is...
Before:
Pretty simple.
I knew I wanted to try gray for paint. I narrowed my choices to these selections.
Then, I put hubby to work.
After:
The color I chose was Mountaintop from Olympic.
I also wanted to add some creative touches so I had one wall painted in horizontal stripes. Next, I wanted all white accents. So, I found some cute decorative mirrors to hang on our side wall next to the sink. Lastly, the mirror frame! I'm in love with our frame from Mirror Mate. I first saw this idea from blogger Centsationalgirl and I thought this was genius! Subtle change that makes a big difference! I always kept that idea in the back of my mind and this little mini project was the perfect chance to frame my mirror!
This particular one is the Pacifica White Cap from MirrorMate.com.
I would still like to change up the towels to gray ones, but for now my blue ones will suffice.
Now the rest of the house feels kind of "naked" without colored paint!
