Guest Bathroom

Here it is...the guest bathroom.
All the walls in our home are white.  Every home I have ever lived in had white walls.
I've never really experimented with interior paint (or paint in general) just because the task seemed too daunting.
What color do I choose?
What if I don't like it?
What if it doesn't go with the rest of our interior?
ETC.
So, naturally I always settled for a safe choice...white.
Lately, I have been obsessed with pinterest and have gathered many inspirational designs.
Since our downstairs guest bathroom is small in size, I thought it would be a great place to start playing around with creative ideas.
So here it is...

 Before:

 Pretty simple.

I knew I wanted to try gray for paint.  I narrowed my choices to these selections.

Then, I put hubby to work.

After:

The color I chose was Mountaintop from Olympic.
I also wanted to add some creative touches so I had one wall painted in horizontal stripes. Next, I wanted all white accents. So, I found some cute decorative mirrors to hang on our side wall next to the sink. Lastly, the mirror frame!  I'm in love with our frame from Mirror Mate.  I first saw this idea from blogger Centsationalgirl and I thought this was genius!  Subtle change that makes a big difference!  I always kept that idea in the back of my mind and this little mini project was the perfect chance to frame my mirror!
This particular one is the Pacifica White Cap from MirrorMate.com.
I would still like to change up the towels to gray ones, but for now my blue ones will suffice.

Now the rest of the house feels kind of "naked" without colored paint!

I'm feeling colorful these days~
I decided to go with an eye catching hue of pink for my first April manicure.

Downstairs

So here it is.
Here is the living area where my family spends most of our time in the home.
One of the best features of our home are the enormous windows that stretch high up into our ceilings.
All the natural lighting lights up our entire home and I love that bright effect.
Although it is the best feature of the home, it can also be a little bit of an issue at night because it takes stadium floodlights to light up our downstairs!
Our floor lamp on its own acts as a night light, really.

I managed to clear a lot of the kids stuff.
Before, it took most of the space.

And, before that...

It's been 2 years since we moved into this house.
I remember staring at this picture of our empty home wondering how to fill in the space.
Hmm, time sure flies!

I am currently about to take on a small, mini project to make over our downstairs guest bathroom.
I'm super excited about it!
It'll be my first time experimenting with paint and patterns!
Hopefully the end product will turn out just as nice as the vision in my head.
I can't wait to show you!

March Randomness

My girls are getting big!
Leah is very affectionate, girly, and on most days kind and well mannered.
Lynn likes to run, play outdoors, and is very independent.
Though so similar in appearance, they are two very different characters.
It's fascinating to see my babies grow so fast.
I love them so much!

My parents' birthday are coming up.
As part of their gift, I thought it would be a great idea to send them to Lee Eun Mi's concert.
I know my mom is thrilled so I hope they have a wonderful time.

As for my latest venture in beauty...
Latisse

I have high hopes for long lush lashes.

Have you tried Latisse?

The Last 5lbs...

GONE!
I finally broke the 108lb plateau and dropped the last 5lbs!
I can officially say, I lost ALL the pregnancy weight!

There was once a time I used to weigh....

and much much more.

As much as I lost weight, I still have the mommy pooch.
I'm almost certain there is no way to reverse the damage.
Seriously.

Question of the Day:

Do you like Coconut Water?

I've heard so many great things about the health benefits of coconut water.
I try to be health conscious so I really wanted to like this stuff.
In fact, I tried several brands hoping my taste buds just needed to warm up to the unfamiliar taste, but...
I think it tastes terrible!
It seems like so many people enjoy coconut water which is a mystery to me.
So, tell me...
Do you like it?

Nail It! March Manicure

I decided to go for round tips and change up the usual french manicure.
Inspired by Spring, I chose a pastel pink color with a splash of sparkle.

Hello March!

I feel like I haven't been making any substantial posts on my blog lately.
I've been making countless attempts to redesign my living area, but unfortunately no matter which way I move furniture around and change up the decor it just doesn't do it for me.
Kinda like writer's block.
So, I decided to throw in the towel until some inspiration is ignited.
Until then...there had been a brief period when my skin was going through a breakout phase.  My pores were look larger than usual and I was getting tiny breakouts here and there.  When my husband said to me, "ohhh, so that's what blackheads are...," Who wants to hear that?!  That was a cue for me to try something different.  So I tried a home remedy of the raw honey mask after watching Annie Jaffrey's video (http://www.anniejaffrey.com/2013/02/diy-honey-face-mask.html).  The honey mask was something I had done before with great results, but I had forgotten about it over time.  It was just the thing I needed during my skin's havoc period.

Picture taken day after honey mask. Bare faced and satisfied with the outcome!

I got a manicure yesterday.

 Self shot of the week.

One of my absolute favorite shows is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!!!
Ugh.  Guilty pleasure!
Although I must say the catty drama on Vanderpump Rules is pretty fun too!

Anyways, on a recent outing to Beverly Hills I happened to drive by Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant, Villa Blanca.  I'm obsessed with Lisa!
I am fascinated by her success, style, home, and character.

Her house is gorgeous.  I'd have it the same way if I could!
Until then, dreaming big!

Besides that the latest Korean drama I've been obsessed with is "That winter, the wind blows."
I haven't enjoyed a Korean drama like this in sooo long!
So, even I was a little surprised to get sucked into it.

Sometimes it's hard to thoroughly enjoy Korean dramas because of comprehension limitations.
I've been watching through a website, http://www.dramacrazy.net/korean-drama/that-winter-the-wind-blows, that include fairly decent subtitles.
So, fyi for those interested!
