I finally finished Leah and Lynn's room just last night.
What used to be Leah's room is now both, Leah and Lynn's room. Lynn is now 18 months which is right around the same time Leah got her big girl bed. So, with the new year coming and all I thought it was great timing for some changes!
Leah's room is really tiny. For the longest time I was brainstorming how I could fit two twin size beds in her room. I was so sure I was going to get a daybed, but even a daybed is larger than I imagined! The room was just an inch or two too small to accommodate a seemingly small daybed. After much contemplation, I ended up getting the same bed as Leah's. I can't tell you how many times I wished the room could stretch out just a measly couple inches to fit in the dresser. But, something had to go and it was just that, the dresser. For now the dresser is hiding in their closet. Anyways, let's get to it.

I wanted to incorporate two of the most girliest colors I could think of, pink and purple. Leah's room was already decked out in pink so all I needed to do was add a few purple touches.
First, the banner on the wall. It was going to be either a new banner or a paint job. The banner option was faster and easier, so I went along with that.
I replaced Leah's pink banner with a pink/purple banner with both the girls' names.
Next, Lynn's bedding. It had to be purple. Leah's sheets were plain white. I wanted more color added to the room so I got white polka dotted sheets for both girls. Obviously, pink is Leah and Lynn is purple. Aside from that, a few stuff were shifted around in the room. I'm very happy with the result. So happy, in fact, I've been sleeping with my girls in their room for the past couple days. ^^

love it! love that touch of purple!!! xO!

Sooae, thanks! also, thanks for supporting my blog! What would I do without your nice comments?! ^^
DeleteI love all your decorations! Can you come and decorate my house?? ;) I especially love how you placed all the hair clips on a framed cork board is it? How did you pin them on? And where did u buy all those pretty hair pins?
ReplyDeleteOh never mind, it's not a cork board! It's a pretty frame like case....did u make that yourself??
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie! I didn't make this particular frame for the clips. I do have another frame which I made like the one in their room. It's a pretty simple to do. The clips are hanging from ribbon similar to this http://www.tonyastaab.com/2011/10/tutorial-hair-clip-holder.html. Most of the pins are from Korean accessory shops, but I get them wherever I can~ It's a collection I started ever since I was pregnant with my girls!
DeleteThanks for the link! Knowing me, i'd probably be better off buying one though! haha Did you get yours @ ktown? I live in the southbay so I don't go to ktown that often. And when I do, it's always just to eat or go to Kim's. :) Is there a place you would recommend that has cute accessories/clothes/knick knacks around ktown? Don't you love having 2 girls? I have a 2 year old girl and it's so much fun buying clothes and cute accessories! =D Thanks for your help and for posting!
ReplyDeleteGirls are definitely fun to shop for and dress up! I don't go to Ktown very often. I live in orange county, so I get all my girls' accessories here. I'm sure Ktown has plenty though!
DeleteGood job!!! So sad you had to get rid of dresser... It's really pretty!
