Random

I'll be honest.  I've been struggling to come up with a blog post these days.
I'm not undertaking any projects around the home or doing anything particularly "interesting" lately.
Even my manicures have been the same the past two months!
So, instead of totally ignoring my blog I thought I'd at least stop by to say, "hello, I'm still here."
I guess I'm going through a transition and even reflective period.
That is, transitioning from motherhood to working mom.
Okay, I haven't made that transition quite yet, but I'm working on it.
Although being a mother is fulfilling and so rewarding on many levels, I'm ready for something more.
I feel a slight tinge of guilt when I admit that being a stay at home mom isn't enough for me, but what can I say?  Confessions of a stay at home mom.
As far as reflective period...
I've been thinking a lot about the kind of person I am and the kind of person I want to be, where I am at my life, where I want to be 5,10, 20 years from now, and all these self reflective questions.  Funny, after having kids and a family of my own I thought I would have finally figured this all out by now.
No, it just gets more complicated.
at least for me, that is.

Anyways, a few weeks ago I did add a touch of gray here and there in the home. Nothing major, just a few cushions and wall art to spruce up our living area.

I know I keep showing snippets of our home, but one of these days I'll do a post on a panoramic view of our downstairs.

One great find I made recently are these little pouches of health and deliciousness!

I used to mix and make my own concoction of health/diet drinks, but now it comes ready made so all you have to do is pop a straw in and sip!
Basically, it's black bean + 16 grains soy milk.  I usually have one pouch and a banana for breakfast and sometimes one for a snack.
I just love that it's so convenient.
Only thing is....if you are not near a Korean market I wouldn't know where to find these. This is fairly new at my local market so....I already picked up 3 of the 4 boxes they had out!

  1. I totally know what you mean!! I was going thru the same thing awhile ago. It's a lil unfulfilling when ur stuck at home all day just doing household stuff/ taking care of children. It's like... That's it?? Am I going to be doing this forever?? Looking back, for me, I'm thinking it was their age cuz now those thoughts don't cross my mind. It's actually a lot of fun now and I enjoy it so much more that I'm not looking for what else there is that I can do. Does that make sense?

    1. No, I stopped a loooong time ago. They couldn't accommodate my schedule, so I quit. Haha. Even though I don't work and G is in school FT, I'm pretty busy just shuttling him around everywhere!! When he's in school, I'm home cleaning, grocery shopping, catching up on sleep :P. it's weird cuz ud think ud have MORE time once kid is in school, but I feel like with more time, I'm doing more productive things??? What do you do all day?

  3. I think all moms have been there at one point or another. Hope you find something.

I started drinking the black bean powdered drink cause of your post from Xanga a while back. Haven't really seen any significant changes but I wasn't all that consistent either. Maybe the premade ones will make it easier.
